Flood control starts with information. We have already built up a great deal of experience in monitoring waves and water levels. But much more is possible. Sensor  networks in dikes that provide real-time information about behaviour and the potential failure site. Satellites that permanently monitor the flooding in large areas. Flood Control 2015 make this data available in an effective way, as well as developing new technology such as that used at IJkdijk.
