The Netherlands is extremely successful at an international level when it comes to flood protection. The country has a large number of specialists available in every conceivable area: from the design and construction of dikes, forecasting systems, and decision-supporting systems, through to crisis management, measurement systems and evacuation.

The Flood Control 2015 program has been a hands-on innovation program. Many projects resulted in scientific conference papers (a.o.). Some topics were better presented in poster format as a guidance for interactive discussion. Nine posters were designed and presented.

During the conference, special discussion sessions were organized at which the audience could discuss the contents of the posters with the authors.
